A really efective tecnology in my house

I want to talk about something really cool in my house

Since 2013 we have solar panels but for hoot water not for electricity!!!

Why do we have it?

I live in the southern Chile so gass expenses are to expensive,in order to save money we decide to install this amazing invention.

How  it works?

At the beginning we were not sure about this, we used to think that solar panels was just for electricity but it´s not entirely true.  Rays of the sun impact the panels and the gained energy is used to warm water located in the tubes and when water reached a certain temperature is stored in a very big tube designed to not lose heat. Finally this hoot water it can be used for wash the dishes, laundry, or take a shower.

Worth it?

Totally yes, there´s almost no difference between gas and solar panels, but in winter is a little less efective, so in winter we used 50% of gas and 50% of solar panels but in summer is 100% solar panels

I really like it, i mean... who don´t like to take a shower with a nice hot water, obviously is something not so necesarry, if we hadn´t buy it our lives would be the same but expensive jajaja.
