~ Ayn Rand ~

Ayn Rand born Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum, (February 2, 1905 - March 6, 1982) was a Russian-American writer and philosoper. She is known for her two best-selling novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, and for developing a philosophical system she named Objectivism
Rand advocated reason as the only means of acquiring knowledge and rejected faith and religion. She supported rational and ethical egoism andrejected altruism. In politics, she condemned the initiation of force as inmoral and opposed collectivisim and statism as well as anarchism, instead supporting capitalism, which she defined as the sytem bases on recognizing individual rights, including property right.
I really admire her because she based her philosophy in reason and logic. People often draw conclusions from their emotions, ignoring the negative effects that these generally rushed actions can trigger.
I also love her point of view about love, you don´t love people for what they do for you, or what you do for them, you love them for their values and virtues that they achieved in their own character. It means that we don´t love without cause, we have to make ourselves worthy of love. Humans have free will, if someone wants love he should correct his weaknesses and he may deserved it but he cannot expect for the unearned. Her ideas makes me wants to constantly improve my love relationship.
Finally, she said that life give us a mechanism to know if we are living well, happiness. Every person should be free to achieve his own hapinnes.

I did not know about this writer, it sounds interesting, greetings
