 Why renewables can´t 

save the planet

We used to think without question that renewables are the best choice for a cleaner and safe future, but we need to analize better this situation, because nothing in the world is 100% as good as it seems.

All of the major problems with renewables aren´t tecnhical they´re natural, what i´m trying to say?, for example the greaest threat to big birds as eagles, condors, owls, are wind turbines, in other case, building a solar farms is a lot like building any other kind of farm, you have to clear the whole area of wildlife.

Ivanpah, California

Here you have a picture of Ivanpah, one of the biggest solar farms in California, in order to build it they have to clear the whole area of desert tortoises literally pulling them a his babies out of burrows to transportingthem to captivity where many of them ended up dying.

And currently the estimates are that about 6000 birds are killed every year catching on fire above the solar panels.

Although, renewables depends a lot of their sources, and it always be like this, there was no amount of technological innovation that was gonna make the sunshine more reglary or wind blow more reliably, in fact you could make solar panels cheaper and wind turbines bigger but sunlight and wind are just really dilute fuels, so in order to produce significants amounts of electricity you have to cover a very large land.

All in all, we could say that this type of energy is cleaner and cheap, but actually no...

In Germany wich is really world´s leader in renewable tecnhologies, their energy prices were increased 50 percent during their big renewables energy push.

France who choose nuclear electricity has cleaner and cheaper energy than Germany, and germans paid double for a 54% dirty energy.

In brief, maybe is time to change our beliefs of how we will get a better future.
